IBD was formed by two Purdue University professors from the College of Technology. Professors Laware and Walters joined Purdue after decades in Corporate IT. As members of the Purdue Technology faculty, they saw a significant need for worldclass IT management practice in the many small and medium sized businesses in the greater Northern Indiana region. As their success working with these businesses grew, they decided to offer their services to a broader market.
